Efficient, Well Run School Districts Are What Increase Home Values

I will preface this by stating again, I do realize there are facilities issues that need to be addressed throughout the Westonka district.  This is a bit surprising, considering the "Yes Westonka" consortium has held control of the school board for a number of years.  Here we are again in 2011, with another proposal from "Yes Wesonka" that is not a plausible solution in my opinion.  Further, there have been insinuations that passage of their package will increase home values in Westonka school district.  We need to look no further than next door neighbor, Orono school district 278.  Orono passed a $39 million maintenance bond in February of 2008.  At the end of 2007, the average sale price of all residential properties within the district boundaries was at $840,285.  Annual average sale price has only declined since:

2008:  $736,129

2009:  $735,489

2010:  $689,232

Educators are what create demand school districts, not ivory towerists!  Let's get real and put realistic numbers together and get this done in 2012!
