Oh and Tom & Margie, bully boyz like botts and forsputter will never understand this:
You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.-- Quote by Winston Churchill
After watching that meeting, it is clear to me why Westonka Schools have such crappy facilities. Big spenders that waste our money.
ReplyDeleteFunny they talked about all these extra 'fees', but couldn't state how much they were. Looks like Botts tried to quickly change the subject. A true sign of a lying cheat. Don you should send this blog to the two companies that lossed out (because their bids were too low)
ReplyDeleteExactly my thoughts! Its was pretty funny watching them stumble and mutter in a poor attempt to get their story together on camera. I about lost my coffee out my nose when borg started stuttering like a seal barking for a fresh fish...arp arp arp. Could someone get that hick to a public speaking class? And then Ralph Malph...need I say anything more about this little fraud that isn't portrayed in the video? Keep this stuff coming Mr Mailey!
DeleteWatch out Notch or Hermann Göring Botts is going to have you dragged off to Dachau for re-education by jack-booted thugs. Nice civics lesson for the the kids, Herr Botts. Were you this badass with the St Louis County sheriff when he came for your home in Duluth?
ReplyDeleteBorg, Botts, Bremer, Foerster, Bond, Wollner, Harrison (BBBFBWH) need to be reminded that this is a PUBLIC school district. The PUBLIC has every right to representation and the PUBLIC deserves answers to the very valid questions Saatzer is asking.
ReplyDeleteDo the math!!! Paying $500,000 extra for K/A's "supervision" is 10,000 worker hours at $50 bucks an hour!!! That's a LOT of supervisors!!!!!
When BBBFBWH resort to their bully tactics when asked legitimate questions, they only reinforce legitimate suspicions.
Historic facts show that if you dare ask a question of BBBFBWH, you will be characterized as the devil, himself.
Since the PUBLIC pays every dime of the bill for the PUBLIC school district, the PUBLIC has a legitimate right to expect solid answers from their 'leaders'.
Furthermore, the blatant bullying by BBBFBWH only erodes the laudible efforts of Westonka teachers who work hard every day on the front lines.
For the good of the Westonka district, I call for BBBFBWH to shape up or ship out.
These sleezballs are hiding something. Either a job was promised to Bond or there is money going out the window into someones pockets. Little puppet man Borg showed his true colors at the meeting and Botts was a joke who couldn't put a sentence together to save his life. I don't know how these crooks sleep at night and what their families think of them. They are a disgrace to the community and the sooner they are gone the better. The thing now is to continue, non-stop to demand answers. This is part of their job and they are eventually going to get caught red-handed with their hands in the cookie jar. Let's not give up, let's continue to ask questions until one or all of the crooked thieves breaks. Don Mailey - are you still on board with trying to expose these maggots and what they are trying to pull off?
ReplyDeleteAside from the fact that Botts lost his composure and let slip just how much he would like to shut down digital public access to these proceedings altogether; he gives us another glimpse into his 'money grows on trees philosphy' by suggesting police protection from the unwashed masses who dare question his position and don't snap to when he barks for them to "sit down!" Is the cost for this extra security going to come out of your pocket, Dave?? Of course, what's an extra several hundred bucks per meeting the way you burn through it, big guy? It's just the public's money so don't give it a second thought. Here's a clue: when your sidekick from Cokato engages the speaker at the podium, it looks pretty ridiculous for you to cry about him not sitting down after 3 minutes......
ReplyDeleteKeith F. is just a nasty, nasty, nasty little man with no ability to control his anger. Napolean complex or not, he must lead one miserable life to always be so upset. If one of our kids acted up in class the way these "adults" do at a board meeting they would be sent to the office or worse. Double standard?
ReplyDeleteDon't let that anger eat you up from the inside out, pal, it's just not worth your health.
One way the laundering is accomplished, is giving the business to the highest bidder and then these vendors give the excess back to the district for the "staff recognition event" etc. At first glance it seems above board, but this money "coming back" is TAXPAYER MONEY that has been over paid to these vendors. The examples below are for the month of February 2012. The second conflict here, is that these "staff recognition events" are held at the business Anne Bremer's hubby manages!!!!!! Will be interesting to see how long before KA shows up on the list! Why don't we have a nice TAXPAYER REGOGNITION EVENT? It's our money, folks!! If the facilities are really this bad, why not use this money on the buildings instead of a big drunk to honor kevin??
ReplyDeleteMetro Athletic Supply Staff Recognition Event 100.00
Bolton and Menk Staff Recognition Event 250.00
Trio Supply Company Staff Recognition Event 100.00
4.0 School Services Staff Recognition Event 600.00
I'm expected to foot the bill for any banquet of recognition I or my child attends for any activity at the school ($20 a ticket). I would think the teachers could pool their money and Kevin could throw in a few bucks too to recognize staff. Vendors should not be 'kicking' money back into the school. "We will hire you - and you give money back to us" how disgusting is that.
ReplyDeleteVendors should support booster clubs and school related activities. If they are grateful for the buisness, the money should go into kids and the community. Does the big fat teacher's union ever throw in any money? No! they squeeze us for more and more and do not give a dime back.
I wouldn't donate a dime to the school district unless it directly benefits our children.
Ever wonder what makes an unemployed/unemployable architect an expert in construction management?
ReplyDeleteEver wonder if Dave Botts had poop in his pants during this meeting? I know little Andy IV makes the same facial contortions when he has 'stinky' in his panties as Dave Botts makes during the first 30 minutes of this meeting.
ReplyDelete"let the product of what happens now lead the course of what it is?" < Ever wonder WTF that is supposed to mean?
ReplyDeleteEver wonder why they blather and blather and blather about spending $500,000 extra for quality, supervision, reputation and experience, and then Kevin needs to ramble on and on and on about all the things that could go wrong??? They have a 6% number in their soft costs in case things go wrong--look it up!!!! Why the need to pay an extra $500,000 to make sure nothing goes wrong? What rat hole does that 6% disappear down if nothing does go wrong?? All I can say is that next STAFF RECOGNITION PARTY is going to be a whopper!!!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent points all, Andy! Especially the one about the soft cost contingency numbers; although the number you allude to is 'just' 5%. I need to put a post up just on this alone! Kraus is the one who came up with the soft cost numbers. This is a rough draft sent to me from Kevin--back in the days when he answered email:
DeleteDon,
KA shared that district's soft costs on recent and similar projects range from 20-30%. They estimated and recommended 25% for this project and provided this breakdown to the board when they were reviewing the soft costs. Architectural Fees and Misc Owner costs were areas discussed by the board that could be lower and reach the 25%.
Architectural Fees for Remodel (different than new) 5.5 to 7%
Mechanical and Electrical – 2 to 3% (pending scope)
Permits – 1%
Testing – 1%
Misc Survey – 1% (varies on area)
Bond – (in today public bid economy) 1%
Misc Owner costs (Staff and misc needs during the project can be charged to a project if district chooses) – 2% (optional)
Legal Fees – .5%
Insurances - .5% (depends on your policy in place)
Commissioning per the State of MN – 1 %
Plan Reproduction/advertising for Competitive bidding – .5%
Design Contingency – 5% (highly recommend for remodel)
Construction Contingency – 5% (highly recommend for remodel)

The stunning point here, of course, is during the March 6, board meeeting, we listened to Borg, Botts and Forsputter rant and rave at length about why we needed to pay $500,000 extra to Kraus because they are so qualified, experienced, reputable and recommended and how much trouble we will be in if something goes wrong. However, in the soft cost list above--generated by Kraus--they have penciled in 5% or $1,475,000 as a "construction contingency" and another 5% of $1,475,000 as a design contingency. Looks like we already have $2,950,000 in reserve in case "something goes wrong," boys?? Yet, another $500,000 is spent for extras from KA? Gee.....I am dying to hear where that 2% or $590,000 in miscellaneous owner costs is going????? Staff reconition event IX?????????????
Looks like Kevin Borg,Ann Bremer, Dave Botts& David Bonds are double dipping us 2 for them none for us. But they care about kids:)
ReplyDeleteWho votes for these morons?
ReplyDeleteThe teachers union picks these morons 'Yes people' and all the teachers and employees of the school district vote for them. Little scare tactics that the 'No People' won't geve them raises and will cut all their benefits are used. Since the #277 Westonka School district is the biggest employer in Mound, it is pretty easy to get lots of morons running the board.
ReplyDeleteMore componants den duuh span of fee peeple.
ReplyDeleteIs Forsputter the hot tempered one?
