  1. Great, $thousands more charged to the taxpayers to coverup another blunder by borg {BBB}. Where were you and what were you doing that day, kevin? The truth is free and will set you free!

  2. Borg is a fail.

  3. Are you surprised by this? Screw, squirm and spin make up chapters 1 through 4 of their business plan.

  4. All the money this debacle is going to cost should come out of Kevin Borg & The Puppet Board's personal pockets! They are one's who allowed this to happen with their gross incompetence. They want to sit there and pretend they are leaders? News flash, true leaders pay for their screwups.

  5. The yes westonka gang became responsible for this incompetence when they voted sock puppets like david bond, david botts, and ann bremer to the school board to retain the classic "blind leading the blind" culture. Now they are the ones yelping the loudest about the most recent leadership failure costing thousands of dollars and heartaches. You wanted it, you voted for it, you got it and now you "own it!"

  6. One of the worst run school districts in minnesota.

  7. Really? So they hired a school law expert and you are up in arms about that? I hate to break it to you but there are not many attorneys in the state have a lot of school law experience that don't rep schools. You rep school districts, unions (rarely) or parents in SPED due process hearings (also rarely) and that's about it.

    1. Are you completely ignorant????You sound like one of the school board members. They didn't hire a school board expert - they used one who would say just what they wanted her to say. Wake up and get the facts before you post!

  8. Hey Dipshit, the point is horseface sat there lying his rear off and told everyone he would order an outside investigation. Then what does he do? He calls his inside attourney into his office and says dear, I have a job for you but don't work at it too hard. Are you catching on yet?

  9. Catching on to what? That this is a conspiracy to cover up an overreaction to students performing an already tired internet meme in the lunch room? I don't see it. What would be the point of a cover up? The only bad thing that happened is that some kids missed out on a hockey game. That's it.

The Admin admitted it overreacted. Now someone is losing his/her job not as part of a cover up but because people (see this blog) are calling for blood. You got your blood. I just wasn't the person you wanted gone.

  10. Losing his job? He quit, didn't he?

  11. Not sure who 7:58 PM is pretending to be, but God help us all if he/she is admin or on the school board. "All that happened was some kids missed a hockey game?" I guess you missed the part about them being charged with a crime, being suspended from school for two days as well as other activities sanctions?? "Just a game?" You mean just a game they had prepared for their entire lives! Whoever you are, it's obvious you couldn't even get picked for "Red Rover," when you were a kid if you believe this "was just a hockey game."

It's sure taking the bunker crew a looooong time to "investigate" something so trivial, don't you think? And yes, they are using their in house ringer to leave nothing to chance.

Blood? Like the prior post says, DK quit. He shouldn't be the last one to do so.

    1. No, I am not part of the Admin or Board so you can rest easy there.

While I never said it is "just a game," I will go with it. "Just a game." Yes, ultimately that is all that was lost here given that the charges (which is a result of poor police work, not school admin) and suspensions were rescinded. It sounds harsh, but it's true.

To a teenager, this is likely a fairly tragic event. However, that's where the adults, having fully developed frontal lobes, need to help them put all of this in context. Yes, they were "wronged" and they lost out on an experience that may have enriched their lives in some small way. However, the party that wronged them also admitted its error an attempted to remedy the situation and mitigate the harm. Where the kids made whole? No. But that's life. You learn from it and move on or you can become a victim.

Yes, they may have prepared there whole lives for this game; their whole very young and even now, no less promising, lives. The adults need to help them put this in context and model good behavior regarding how one deals with adversity. Freaking out and calling for heads to roll at the first sign of trouble is not helpful.

Agreed, the investigation is taking sometime. That could be because there isn't much to find so far as scandal goes. Though, I am guessing that a quick investigation would have been considered a hasty whitewash anyway. So it is likely a lose/lose for the school on this. You won't be happy until they all resign.

Also, the AD did quit. After being put on admin leave.

I also note that even outside counsel (if Ms. Wagner is considered "in house") would owe her duty of confidentiality and attorney/client privilege to her client. There is nothing sinister about that.

Also, I was sweet at red rover.

    2. Why do you say " a result of poor police work?" How are suspensions related to police work? The only reason the citations were dropped was because the school district changed their mind about pressing charges. You can't have disorderly conduct citations without a victim and the victim refused to press charges. End of story. Just because Mr. Borg deliberately misled people by saying "he was going to ask the police dept to rescind the citations" doesn't make it a true depiction of the process. Or I suppose you could just call that another one of his lies along with telling parents that the police had the video. The school always had the original video in their possession. Just another pathetic attempt to divert attention from the responsible parties.

    3. Exactly! And I suppose the police were just driving by on routine patrol and decided to pop in? Telepathy maybe?

      Delete
    4. Telepathy would make police work easier but alas, the police were certainly called. However, in MN members of the public do not "press charges," as that term is most commonly used; the prosecuting authority does. Likely the city attorney for a misdemeanor charge like these were. Prosecution without a victim is more complicated, but not impossible. For example, unfortunately many victims of domestic violence recant yet the prosecutions often go forward. There are exceptions to the bar on hearsay and were scores of witnesses here it would not be that hard.

I think it is poor police work because I don't see how the officer came to a conclusion that there was probable cause that a crime occurred.

The suspensions, since rescinded, are on the school.

Just so we are clear, I think the Admin screwed up. I just don't think there is a cover up or a conspiracy. I also do not like the implication that Ms. Wagner (who I have no ties to and have never met) is automatically an unethical attorney just because she was hired by an administration a lot of people on this site do not like.
