"Independent?" Have you noticed these colorful 11 x 6 glossies, seem to arrive in the mail every other day? Have you noticed the 1/2 page, color ads in The Laker? Have you noticed the massive signage throughout the community? Massive! When do the TV and radio spots start? Do you seriously think these three are funding this huge media barrage "independently?" With a little help from $10 and $20 contributions from their "local" supporters? Think about where the money is coming from and WHY!
"Independent?" Lisa Whalen is so independent, when she was on the city council, the chief of police was able to convince her to waste $millions$ of dollars to build him an enormous luxury police station, which size-wise, is capable of servicing Eden Prairie. Since many citizens were already clamoring to have our water fixed even back then, Lisa knew the voters would never agree to the chief's shiny new toy, while we continued to drink turpentine from our taps, so she showed us all what "independent" truly means to her! "Independent" of what the citizens wanted, and against one of the core values America was founded on, she bypassed the voters and delivered to her buddy, a facility that sits largely empty today. Now in 2014, she has the unmitigated gall to run on a platform of attacking the current council and mayor for trying to fix the very complex water issue that was too big for her to address years ago while keeping the chief happy?
So Patricia Thoele, could you please elaborate on what facet of Minnetrista's infrastructure failed during a natural disaster? I know my water fails every time I turn on my tap....thanks to Lisa Whalen's "independence!"
Whalen Waste
Why does a community the size of Minnetrista, need a police station like this over clean drinking water? If nothing else, it looks like great storage and good place to hold a barn dance!

Meet the recipient of that wonderful new police palace who also bailed on Minnetrista after his political cronies were voted out of office > http://www.shotinthedark.info/wp/?p=26448 <. Stunning, isn't it? Today he is Lisa Whalen's campaign manager....ala you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. It would be better for Minnetrista, if they all just moved to Champlin.
ReplyDeleteThe honest claim is the one that gets to me. How honest is claiming the current city council isn't ethical with no evidence to support it? How honest is telling people you had a plan when you didn't? How honest is putting up a DARE sign without their permission to lie about the school police officer? How honest is denying your voting record? How honest is saying that Mark V voted for the 2009 budget/levy when he wasn't in office (2008) when it was voted on? and then leaving out the fact that the levy he voted on with her was the first levy decrease on her record? Nobody can keep track of all of the lies not even Lisa...
ReplyDeleteYou missed this one about Dave Kolb. Is this the guy you want to run your city through Lisa?

In regard to Patricia Thoele's bizzare statement above, a long time Minnetrista resident just emailed me this thought: "The comments made by Lisa's running mate regarding summer rain issues made me wonder if she was thinking she was running for a Mound council position, she seemed out of the loop as to what comprises Minnetrista vs Mound. The washout issues on 44 were largely handled by Hennepin County if I recall, and access to Enchanted was handled well by the city, as friends have told me. Mound had sewer to Lake issues but I don't know that Minnetrista did." Exactly! Does she know what city she lives in?
ReplyDeleteAnd another thing: "Our Minnetrista?" Just stop and think and think about how incredibly arrogant that statement is! Made by the same faction that believes you have no right to vote on the issues!! Pssssst....Dave, Lisa, Pam and Pat, Minnetrista is NOT yours! It's everyone who lives, works and pays taxes here!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pathetic waste of our tax dollars while keeping us in danger by choosing this over our health and fixing our water.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Lisa and Police State Dave, thought they would soon be needing the space to store some new armored personnel carriers and patty wagons---not planning on being run out of town on a rail.
